From the book to the big screen to the live stage, Catch Me If You Can is Broadway’s newest hit. Tony Award nominee Tom Wopat originates the role of Frank Abagnale, Sr. and plays alongside an award winning cast, featuring Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz (plays Agent Carl Hanratty), Aaron Tveit (as Frank Abagnale, Jr.), and Tony Award nominee Kerry Butler (Brenda Strong). Tom Wopat to serve as one of 2011 Drama League Awards Honorary Chairs

This is the 77th year for the Drama League Awards, honoring the finest in American Theatre. “It is one of the nation’s oldest continuously-operating, not-for-profits arts advocacy and education organizations.” Joining Tom as an honorary chair this year are John Leguizamo, Judith Light, Edie Falco, Billy Crudup, Sutton Foster, Estelle Parsons, and Cherry Jones. Hosting the event will be Academy Award nominee Kathleen Turner at the Grand Ballroom in the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square on May 20th. Additional honors are to be given to Whoopi Goldberg, Liza Minelli, and Susan Stroman. Please visit the Drama League website for more details.
